I have a 93 lexus sc3oo 240 000 mi, i was driving down the highway approx 60mph when all at once the car began vibrating (i first thought i had a flat) then it started acting like it was running out of gas -sputtering like it wasnt getting any gas , it lasted about two minutes i was losing speed all the way then i went to second gear and hit the gas and it snapped out of it and took off like nothing was wrong........it acted completely normal all the way to destination where i shut the ignition off and 2 hrs later headed home in which it acted fine also........what could this be, i know with 240k anything could happen. i bought the car new in 93 and it has never given me an ounce of trouble........anybody wanna take a stab at this....let me know if so , thanks....EC

Hello and thank you for choosing just answer. Did the check engne light come on when this happened? Also were you driving in wet/rainy situation or high dust condition? From your description it sounds like you has a small amount of bad/contaminated fuel that made it's way to the engine-have seen alot of fuel quality issues lately.
